- Account Information: Your email address, display name, and authentication identifiers provided through Google or email sign-up.
- Profile Data: Information you voluntarily provide to complete your profile, including your profile picture, kart details, home track, bio, and sponsorship pitches.
- User-Generated Content: Posts, text, and images you upload to the feed.
- Technical Data: Standard access logs and crash analytics handled by our infrastructure providers.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your information strictly to provide and improve the SynchroPit experience:
- To authenticate your account and secure your data.
- To display your public driver portfolio and posts to other users.
- To maintain our infrastructure and diagnose technical issues.
3. Third-Party Services
We rely on trusted third-party providers to operate the platform. These providers have their own privacy policies:
- Google Firebase: Used for secure authentication and database hosting.
- Cloudinary: Used to securely host and deliver the images you upload.
We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or third parties.
4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR Compliance)
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA) or the UK, we process your personal data under the following legal bases:
- Consent: You have given explicit consent for us to process your data (e.g., by accepting this policy and creating an account).
- Contract: Processing is necessary to provide the SynchroPit services you requested.
- Legitimate Interests: Processing is necessary for our legitimate interests in maintaining and securing the platform.
5. Your Data Rights (GDPR)
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and similar privacy laws, you have specific rights regarding your personal data. You can exercise these directly in your Account Settings:
- Right of Access & Portability: You can export a JSON copy of all your personal data at any time.
- Right to Rectification: You can edit and update your profile information instantly.
- Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): You can permanently delete your account, which immediately cascades and erases all your posts, profile data, and images from our active servers.
- Right to Object & Restrict: You may contact us to object to or restrict certain processing activities.
- Right to Complain: You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your jurisdiction.
6. Data Retention and International Transfers
We retain your personal data only for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, your data is permanently removed.
Your information may be processed and stored on servers located outside of your country of residence (e.g., in the United States) by our subprocessors (Google Firebase, Cloudinary). These transfers are protected by standard contractual clauses and appropriate safeguards.
7. Children's Privacy
SynchroPit is not intended for users under the age of 16 without parental consent, in accordance with GDPR regulations. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under this age threshold. If we become aware that such data has been collected without verifiable consent, we will take immediate steps to delete it.
